Lettuce grow! |
Any references to Plants and Zombies are pure coincidence. What I mean is that when you plant a garden, you’re not just planting seeds in the ground, your planting them in your child’s mind. Ewww. Not literally, of course. But even the smallest container garden provides an opportunity to delve into, or at least discuss, many branches of science like botany, climatology, and entomology, to name a few.
Learn more about teaching science in the garden in my latest post at Sylvan Learning’s Mom-Minded blog. I’ve included useful links, so keep clicking after you click through. While you’re there you can check out my archives on the site, too.
